This policy explains what information Greyside Golf collects when you visit greysidegolf.com, place an order, or sign up for our wait-list — and what we do with it. Short version: we collect what we need, use it to fulfill your order and communicate with you, and we don't sell it to anyone.

What We Collect

When you place an order or create an account, we collect your name, email address, shipping address, billing address, phone number (if provided), and payment information. Payment card details are processed directly by our payment processor (Shopify Payments / Stripe) and are not stored on our servers.

When you sign up for the wait-list, we collect your email address. Nothing else.

When you browse the site, we automatically collect standard technical information: your IP address, browser type, pages visited, time on site, and referring URL. This comes through Shopify's built-in analytics and any third-party tools we use (see below).

How We Use It

To process and fulfill your order — including sending order confirmations, shipping notifications, and handling returns or issues.

To send you emails about the brand, new drops, and wait-list updates — only if you've signed up or placed an order. Every email includes an unsubscribe link. One click and you're out.

To improve the site — understanding what content people engage with helps us make better decisions about what to build next.

To comply with legal obligations if required.

Who We Share It With

We don't sell your data. We share information only with the services required to run the store:

Shopify — our e-commerce platform. They process and store order data on our behalf. Shopify's privacy policy is at shopify.com/legal/privacy.

Klaviyo (or equivalent email platform) — for sending transactional and marketing emails. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Shipping carriers — your name and address are shared with whichever carrier fulfills your order (USPS, UPS, FedEx, etc.).

Payment processors — Stripe or Shopify Payments handle card transactions. We never see or store your full card number.

Analytics tools — we may use Google Analytics or similar services to understand site traffic. These tools collect anonymized browsing data.

We don't share your information with advertisers, data brokers, or any third party that would use it to market to you on our behalf.

Cookies

The site uses cookies to keep your cart working, remember your session, and collect analytics data. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but some parts of the store may not function correctly if you do.

Your Rights

You can ask us what personal data we hold about you, request that we correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email us at support@greysidegolf.com and we'll respond within 30 days.

If you're in the EU or UK, you have additional rights under GDPR and UK GDPR, including the right to data portability and the right to object to certain types of processing. Same email address — we'll handle it.

California residents have rights under the CCPA, including the right to know what data we collect and the right to opt out of sale. We don't sell personal data, so the opt-out right doesn't apply here — but the right to know does. Contact us and we'll tell you what we have.

Data Retention

We retain order data for as long as required by tax and accounting regulations (typically 7 years). Email list data is retained until you unsubscribe or request deletion. Browsing data collected through analytics tools is typically retained for 26 months.

Security

We use standard industry practices to protect your data: SSL encryption on the site, access controls on our backend, and trusted third-party processors who maintain their own security standards. No system is perfectly secure, but we take this seriously.

Children

Greyside Golf is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe we've collected data from a minor, contact us and we'll delete it.

Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top and note it in our next email to the list. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
