Frogskin

An American camo pattern that saw widespread field use, designed in the early 1940s and worn in the Pacific. It came in two sides, green-dominant for jungle, brown-dominant for beach, and the reversibility was the point. At Tarawa in November 1943, nearly every Marine in the assault went ashore in it, brown side out, a campaign where almost everyone was issued it. The pattern looks old because it is, and that's not a flaw.
